Aged at the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site

Genever is an early ancestor of gin and was enjoyed by many a soldier in centuries past.  Made from a mash of Nova Scotain rye, corn & malted barley, Fort George Genever is twice distilled and infused with a subtle blend of botanicals including juniper, caraway, cinnamon, frankincense & pink peppercorn, then aged in oak barrels on-site at the Halifax Citadel.

Rising majestically in the heart of Nova Scotia's capital, the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site is a must-see destination offering a fascinating step back in time.  See what life was like for British soldiers in the 19th century while exploring the finest local spirits produced by the award-winning Compass Distillers - Halifax's only grain-to-glass distillery.
